Hat Chipzilla seine engen Grenzen bezüglich Größe und Leistung eines Netbook etwa über Nacht gelockert? Hat Sony eine Ausnahmegenehmigung erpresst? Nachdem Samsung schon Intel missachtete, wird es vielleicht der neue Volkssport der Anbieter.
Obwohl Sony die engen technischen Grenzen ignoriert, die Intel für das Netbook vorgibt, erhalten die Japaner den Atom N280 für ihren frisch aufgelegten „Vaio W“: 1366 x 768 Bildpunkte Auflösung, 1 GByte DDR-2-RAM, 160 GByte Festplatte sowie Bluetooth nebst W 802.11n klingen schon eher nach einem Notebook-Einstiegsmodell. Nur die Display-Diagonale verharrt mit 10,1 Zoll auf Netbook-Niveau, was das 1,19 kg-Baby transportabler macht (26,8 x18 cm Außenmaße).
Das Vaio W soll es in Weiß, Pink, und Braun geben. In Japan wird das Netbook für umgerechnet 450 Euro angeboten. Bei uns wird es dann erfahrungsgemäß etwas teurer. [rm]

Bought laptop for my wife and she absolutely loves it. Bought from Tech for Less through Amazon. It was refurbished and shows very slight signs of use. Had no troubles at all with any operations ran and so far is a very reliable machine. I would use it myself but I can’t get over the pink. Extremely fast load times and beautiful display. More than enough HD space for her and she loves the layout of keyboard and ease of operation.
Would definitly recommend Sony Vaio to anyone and also the site Techforless.com. They were very accurate on their description of product and shipping was very prompt.
